Agentic-Firmenbuch is a standards-compliant MCP server, compatible with Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and any MCP-capable AI tool. In Claude you connect in one click with no API key; for servers, CI and your own agents you use a key. The code is open source. Note: search answers respond in German.
How it works
Paste the MCP URL into Claude, Cursor or VS Code. In Claude a sign-in by email code is enough, no API key.
"Active GmbHs in Upper Austria with total assets above €5M." The agent translates that into a query across the right tools.
The matches with official figures, every row sourced from the Firmenbuch. Nothing invented.

Search the whole register by name, activity, industry, region and financial metrics; full result lists instead of single lookups.
Master data, management, multi-year balance sheet, P&L and ready-made ratios for a specific company.
Find comparable companies and benchmark one against its peer group; register events as deal signals.
Complete result lists as CSV, for CRM, pipeline or further analysis.
Operations and terms
There is exactly one programmatic interface: the MCP server at https://mcp.agentic-firmenbuch.at/mcp (Streamable HTTP, 2025 MCP specification). There is no REST or OpenAPI surface today; without an MCP client, use the web app or an MCP-capable SDK client in Python or TypeScript.
Per API key 60 calls per minute and 5,000 per day (default), at most 8 concurrent calls. Responses above the limit carry HTTP 429 with Retry-After. Higher quotas are a configuration setting for Pro and Enterprise accounts.
Hosted on Microsoft Azure in the EU (Sweden Central, Germany West Central), data stored in the EU. Self-service plans carry no contractual SLA (see the terms, §2 and §18); Enterprise customers receive an SLA and a named contact on request.
Register changes (incorporations, deletions, capital, officers) arrive daily; annual accounts are loaded continuously after publication. Financial figures carry their balance-sheet year, and filings that exist only as PDF are marked as such.
Austrian source data from the company register (BMJ) under CC BY 4.0. German master data comes from the Handelsregister (the joint register portal of the German states, handelsregister.de); no Creative Commons licence applies to it. The prepared data and ratios of both countries are provided under our terms. Exporting whole result lists is intended and billed per company; reselling the raw data set is not part of the licence.
Tools and fields are, as a rule, only extended; describe_fields always returns the current field catalogue, so check it before a release. Changes to existing fields or tools are documented in the GitHub repository and the release notes.
API key
Cursor, VS Code and Claude Code connect like Claude via an email code, with no key. An API key is only needed for CI/CD pipelines, servers, your own programs or several machines sharing one access. You create and manage keys in the web app: named, individually revocable, shown once.
